The new American hotel search engine was established back in 2009 by Brad Gerstner. Prior to Room77, he also founded Altimeter Capital in 2008, which is a global investment firm focused on technology and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Gerstner is also a member of the Board of Directors of other online travel agencies such as Orbitz and Hotel Tonight. Brad is a securities lawyer, graduate from Harvard Business School in 2000.

In 2013, Room77 received $30 million injection from Expedia and other investors and hired Drew Patterson as CEO, who was 36 years old by then. Drew Patterson was known to be a travel industry wunderkind for he had worked as former vice president of Kayak and co-founded JetSetter.

What is Room77?
Basically, Room77 has been just like other online hotel search engine with the aim to be the best online hotel search engine, by letting travelers to select their destination and get filtered results from 200,000 hotels internationally. However, results are powered by Expedia, Orbitz, Hotels, Priceline, Booking and Otel which means they don’t make independent searches.

In this review, I tried using Room77 by searching for my destination to “The Heathman Hotel, Portland, United States”, it directed me to ask my duration dates. I selected dates from December 7-11 for 1 room as 1 guest. This is how the result page looks like:
As we can see, we can customize the results either by hotel types, price, rating, amenities, brands or location/area. A map is shown on the right hand to guide and another good side of Room77 is, when you click a result, it provides information, including photo, prices, hotel reviews, address and contact number.

Room77 is known for their generosity because travelers won’t stop after booking, because booking 4- or 5-star hotels, or stays totaling more than $400 in Room 77 get access to a complimentary Room Concierge to help them get into the best possible room.

Room77 Reviews of Consumers
Surprisingly, Room77 reviews are nowhere to be found. There’s one in SiteJabber but it’s too obvious that those Room77 reviews are not genuine or legit and it’s dated way back March 3, 2014.  Here’s a screencap of the review:
In my perspective, I can see that the reviewer had only posted one review and that’s it. It seems to me like a made up account to upraise the credibility of the company. I believe there are more unobvious ways to do such fraud.

Conclusion
My outlook about the hotel search engine which lacks Room77 reviews is they are not yet credible enough that customers don’t exert effort to praise their services. Or maybe they don’t have enough consumers? And maybe this is the reason why there was no CEO (prior to Drew) since it was founded by Brad. There’s a big room of space for improving the performance by efficiency. Room77 has a lot of edge to exceed but these will all be put to waste if not sharpened.

The land of mouthwatering chocolate and cheese, expensive but high end watches and multilingual. The most desirable city in the world, Zurich, is located in Switzerland and known for the best quality of life in the world and the wealthiest city in Europe, for luxury shopping, lodging and cuisine. Join me as I unfold the Swiss International Air Lines’ battle scars and triumphs!

Origins and Ownership
The beginning of Swiss International Air Lines doesn’t sound as pleasing as other airlines. Since it commenced after the former flag carrier of Switzerland, Swissair. On the initial start up of Swiss International Air Lines a total of $1.6 billion was lost. However tables have turned, Swiss is now the national airline of Switzerland with over 80 aircrafts serving 100 destinations internationally. The new airline is headquartered in Zurich Airport. The airline has two subsidiaries: Swiss Global Air Lines and Edelweiss Air, and Lufthansa Group took over Swiss in 2005.

They carry the German company slogan “Unser Zeichen ist EIN Versprechen” (In English; Our sign is a promise). 2006 marks the year of recovery for they had a net profit of $220 million, followed by $570 million the following year. They are also a member of Star Alliance.

Swiss InFlight Service
Swiss International Air Lines caters three cabin classes: Economy, Business and First. All three classes are wisely designed to fit for passengers ‘choice. With Swiss International Air Lines, status and profile is not a priority, even when customers are on Economy Class they are well served with sumptuous meals and a variety of beverages preferably hot or cold. To keep their passengers entertained, all travelers have a set-back audio video on demand which will entertain them with an extensive selection of movies, music, ebooks and games.

Official Website and Mobile App
I find the page of Swiss International Air Lines as too bright, given its mix colors of white and red, the white’s brightness was overpowering the rest of the page that it’s a little bit painful to the eye. Not to mention, the plain colors make the airline’s official website, not even close to enticing. However the functionality of the site passes the layout’s impression.
Travelers can book flights, hotel reservations and car rentals. They can also check their flight status and manage their bookings. To access their frequent flyer program, Miles&More, the link is shown on the top left next to the language selector.

Swiss International Air Lines also has mobile version of their services available for iOS and Android users. Like other travel app, Swiss International Air Lines mobile application grants easy access to customers to book a flight or manage their bookings. The services are pretty similar to the PC version.

Passengers Feedback
Though Swiss International Air Lines had an overall score of 7 out 10 from AirlineRatings.com, Swiss International Air Lines reviews are mixed with positive and negative comments. Unfortunately, the latest review about them was scored 4/10 when she said:

“We had return flights from Hong Kong to Valencia, Spain. The seats were extremely cramped, thankfully no medical emergencies occurred. We wouldn’t fly Swiss Air again. We don’t watch the inflight entertainment usually but the screens were not working in the section we were in anyway!”

My Final Thoughts
Based on the information I gathered combined with ​several Swiss International Air Lines reviews, the airlines have been really progressive since 2002. This led them to win battles that challenged them. Did you know that they are included in the world’s top 100 airlines? Ranking with the 14th spot this year and keeping being nominated and awarded for Europe’s Leading Airline by World Travel Awards. Kudos to Swiss!

Vayama Reviews

“Vayama” is a term used for a cougar, jaguar, thylacine, or any other animal resembling the tiger. I wonder, how it is even related to travel? Well, Vayama was originally established in 2007 as a unique travel site with a massive choice of international air travel.

Vayama is a product of Travix which is an online global company managing an extensive portfolio focused on travelling as well and under brand names like BudgetAir, Flugladen, CheapTickets and Vliegwinkel.

The CEO of Vayama, Andre Hesselink, is also the CEO of GoBear, in which now he had successfully been appointed as the CEO as well of the parent company of GoBear: Woodpecker Asia Pte Ltd. His first success was with Travix that rocketed to 50% of market share in its 5th year.

PROS
Vayama’s interface has been obviously left out with its overall appearance. It also reminds me of the layout of EuropeanDestinations. However, on a positive note the services are similar to other online travel agencies. Wherein travelers can search and compare for airfares, hotel reservations and car rentals. Newsletter service as well is shown at the bottom of the flashing images of tourist spots worldwide.
I noticed that the 90% of Vayama shows or inspires customers to different destinations alongside with their promo price. They even provide the latest airfare searches on the right hand. There’s also a direct access to their Facebook and Twitter accounts found on the top right of the page.

CONS
To be honest, I wasn’t surprised that consumers are complaining about Vayama. It physically shows how unprofessional Vayama works. Aside from the page that seems like ages when last updated. Moving forward, all of the Vayama Reviews scanned through are rated 1 out 5 and what’s more they are not happy with how things went with Vayama.

Here are some Vayama Reviews and to make myself clear I mixed it with screencaps:
“After getting home from a trip that took 30 hours and had a little time to think I am sure this company earn their money on people’s mistakes and misfortune. Heartless, worse than a bank that earn money on fees and interest. I just do not understand how they stay in business. Someone is getting paid. State of California should be ashamed of itself. I wish I was a religious man to think that eventually karma will even things up.”
“Terrible company. Told me they were charging me a $50 cancellation fee, then they double-charged me a total of $105. They promised to refund the charge if I supplied them with certain information, then they failed to refund it. When I called them repeatedly, their recorded message said that the office was closed, but they didn’t say when the office would be open. Apparently never. When I emailed them, they sent an automatic reply saying they’d get back to me in 24 hours, then they never got back to me.”

Advice to Revise
The online travel site lacks supporting details of the company’s legitimacy​. Knowing that the leader itself is a genius and an expert internet entrepreneur working out new ideas and building new companies, makes Vayama fall out of his line of priorities. However, before anything else, I think Andre should work on their services first.

Tunisair Reviews

Initially, Tunisair was established in 1948 as Société Tunisienne de l’Air with their first Managing Director, Rene Lefevre, though the airline took time before commencing operations. They acquired their first DC 4 in 1956 and in the same year they initiated non-stop flights from Tunis to Paris. Now, their current CEO, Sarra Rejeb was appointed in April 2015 replacing Salou Saghir.

The main hub of Tunisair is located in Tunis-Carthage International Airport with a fleet size of 32 catering 100 destinations internationally. Tunisair is not any member of the three big airline alliances, but is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization.

Since 2005, Tunisair was simultaneously nominated with the award of “Africa’s Leading Airline” by World Travel Awards. However, the credibility of the airline was questioned after several unrelated incidents keep happening since 2012 till this year, like runway excursions and bird strikes. Tunisian Services
Tunisair has two cabin classes specified as Economy and Espace Privilege Class. The Espace Privilege class is also known as the airline’s Business Class. Passengers are served with complimentary meals and drinks from famous Tunisian dishes or international cuisines. However, this is limited to Economy class passenger which will depend on their flight route. Special meals are also pre-ordered.

Tunisair also keeps their passengers on board entertained with their inflight magazine, La Gazelle. In La Gazelle, customers can grasp the latest fashion, trends, news, education and even business related topics, but this magazine majority focuses on Tunis tourism.

The Website and Mobile App
The official website of Tunisair will initially ask customers to select their country or language to avoid language barrier problems. Here you can see an overview of the page:
As noticeable, the background gives a relaxed and calming effect to travelers with its sky or cloud image and flying dandelion. News flash in words is shown on the top of the page telling the consumers about the latest updates within the airline’s policies, procedures and services. Like other airline, the page lets travelers to book flights, hotel reservations and car rentals. Customers can also access the site to manage their bookings and check flight status.

Tunisair’s mobile application is also available in the App store and Google Play store wherein customers can avail the same services as for the PC version. They even recently updated their mobile application’s features and functionality to enhance the travel app’s technicality.

Tunisair Reviews of Customers
Given the simplicity of Tunisair, the national airline of Tunis had a below average rating by their overall customer reviews. A total of 5/10 was scored by Skytrax’s Airlinequality.com. This might be the reason why the recent Tunisair reviews show as being poor or fair. The latest review posted was on the 9th of November 2015, wherein the customer had two flights with Tunisair.

He found Tunisair as a legacy carrier operating at a low cost. He said that the complimentary food and drinks served are very basic and inedible. However, he noticed the crew’s confusement that he even said they seemed to be a little lost and can’t even check visa requirements orderly. What made them rate Tunisia 5/10 in this review was the fact the airline was new and neat.

Finalization
After reading various ​Tunisair reviews, I am quite puzzled with the unwanted and timely incidents occurred with the flag carrier of Tunis. The airline’s overall performance seems fair enough, but I have a strong gut feeling someone is sabotaging their maintained standing in the aviation. I strongly believe that Tunisair can get better in time. What can you say? A penny for your thoughts?

Travelnuts Reviews

Travelnuts is one of the new American travel startups mentioned in a random list online. The name of the company caught my attention and that’s the main reason why I am writing a review about them. Initially, Travelnuts was founded by Federico Menapace together with his co-founder Luca Beltrami on the 1st of November 2013, wherein Federico stands as the CEO of the online hospitality site.

How Travelnuts works?
Travelnuts is about connecting hotels with their guests beyond booking a room. A consumer who loves planning trips without the hassle of booking with separate sites and hotels who sees beyond the ordinary are the company’s source of business. Because they believe after booking, a relationship between the customer and the hotels are built.

How do they stand out? Well, they have different categories of their services, as for tours. Activities and tourist attractions. Unlike other travel agencies, they build themselves up buying their own brands and sourcing their own inventory. But with Travelnuts, they work directly with hotels.

To make it more clear, Travelnuts connects hotels and guests to all activities and extras available in and around the hotel through a mobile compatible e-commerce platform. This process is called “outsourcing”. Travelnuts is not an online travel agency where travelers can search and book for their hotel reservations. Travelnuts is about assisting hotels directly to help them in focusing on their core business and increase their revenue and service level.

They have two kinds of product or engagement services: Booking Engine and Pre-trip Email. The Travelnuts’ booking engine, is a service where they will handle all direct room and extra booking for hotels. On the other hand, pre-trip email collects important check-in information for guests.

Deez Nuts!
Travelnuts gains by charging its client (hotels) starting at a $1 per room monthly subscription fee. Their mobile app might be available in the App store and Google play store, but users who already downloaded the app or avail their services keep saying Travelnuts is not as delightful as it sounds. One seminar attendee even says “They are nuts!”

In a Nutshell
​Since Travelnuts is just a new travel startup, evidently there are no Travelnuts reviews found anywhere. However, I am still not comfortable with how their company works. The aim of this kind of outsourcing business is to take away the online travel agency’s ideas and assistance. Online travel agencies take travelers to choose from different cheaper hotel reservations, but with Travelnuts they’ll just assist them to one hotel because it’s their clientele.

Eritrean Airlines Reviews

Eritrean are naturally born soft-spoken people and friendly and the country itself has a low crime rate. Unlike other countries, in Eritrea, you can roam around in the cities at night times without the fear of any criminal activity. Readers are suggesting me to write a review about the national airline of Eritrea. Fasten your seatbelt and enjoy your flight with Eritrean Airlines.

The Beginning
Eritrean Airlines traces its roots back on May 1, 1991 initially serving as a ground handling agent headquartered in Asmara International airport and fully owned by the government of Eritrea. May 2002 marked the commencement of the operation as an airline. The current fleet size of the flag carrier of Eritrea  consists of 1 Boeing 737 and 1 Boeing 767 which now serve 5 destinations internationally.

In December 2012, European Commission banded Eritrean Airlines for chartering flights within Europe because the airline didn’t comply with the European Union safety standards. However, in 2014, Eritrean Airlines commenced operations routed to Europe since they were able to fulfill the requirement of  international safety oversight standards.

Eritrean Services
Passengers who fly with the Eritrean Airlines get to enjoy excellent customer service from accommodating cabin crew. There are wide selections of evening meal choices that will make your flight even better. The airline pampers its passengers by giving the best cuisine and beverages. Entertainment is also available and passengers get to enjoy music and television.

The Website
It took me a lot of time to find the official website of Eritrean Airlines but thanks to the reliable Wikipedia. Well, basically Eritrean Airlines’ page is not similar to other airline pages. Though it’s not positively unique, but just completely different. It promptly flashes images of attractions in Eritrea and worldwide renowned tourist spots. The site itself mainly focuses on inspiring travelers to different destinations. This also includes their social media account, Facebook.

Eritrean Airlines Reviews of Passengers
Since Eritrean Airlines is just a new airline, it is obvious why there are just few Eritrean Airlines reviews about them. On Skytrax’s Airlinequality.com they scored a total of 7/10 based on 6 passengers reviews. However, the most recent review was posted back on August 6, 2012 and she said:

“Seats comfortable and legroom generous. FA’s professional and efficient yet quite reserved and rarely smiled. The food quality in general was rather average on the outbound leg offered 3 meals which were tasty and rather filling. On the 6 hour inbound trip offered a small and just edible breakfast option. Slightly limited beverage options.

Luggage allowance is generous yet only 2 kg more for Business passengers (48kg). Customer service at Asmara Airport has improved yet the Terminal is small and old and needs renovations no Business Class lounge available.” She gave the airline 7 out of 10 rating for this review.

Wanderu Reviews
Wanderu sprouted from an idea of Polina Raygorodskaya and Igor Bratnikov, they were on a cross-country campaign to raise GreenXC and National Parks. Along the way their recorded transportation was cancelled that they struggled to get a bus to their destination. Unfortunately, there are no direct buses at their location, with limited resources they have no idea which bus or bus station will get them there. Due to this unexpected transportation problem, they thought of a market within travel agency. In 2012, Wanderu was born.

Why Wanderu?
Wanderu is a new American travel startup, which provides a simplified way to search and book bus or train travel. They are working directly with hundreds of ground travel carriers, to help millions of wanderers find the best transportation option at a reasonable price. Wanderu now caters 90% of its services to the US and the remaining with some major hubs in Canada. Their partners include the largest providers in the world, including Trailways of New York, Greyhound, BoltBus, Megabus, Grupo Senda, Peter Pan Bus Lines and Amtrak. It is a member of the American Bus Association.

We are fully aware that Wanderu has been aroung just almost 3 years in business and they have already received recognition from several departments and competitions:

Have you ever wondered who is the green monkey on Wanderu’s logo? Well, here I found a page where Wanderu explained a brief history of “Chiku” and his purpose, click here.

Wanderu looks more like an online travel agency if you’ll first see their page because it shows a wide photography of a clear blue sea as its background. Travelers won’t even know it’s a transportation meta-search engine till they start searching. Here I tried searching for a trip from Massachusetts, United States to Las Vegas, NV, United States from December 9 to 11, 2015:
As you will notice, there’s only one result shown in this example. Too bad, I was actually hoping for at least 2-3 results to compare from.

Why NOT Wanderu?
On Trustpilot, Wanderu is getting an overall score of 6 from 10, well this is because there are only two customer reviews shown. However the most recent review posted by their consumer is a negative one dated on October 12, 2015.
Mr. Sabala said that he was scammed by Wanderu. He said “Ordered a greyhound bus ticket from Houston to Dallas Texas. Paid by credit card and got confirmation number. Was told I would get an email with instructions on how to print the ticket. Never got the e-mail. Took my daughter to the terminal and was told by greyhound they do not print tickets sold by agents. Missed the bus!!!” with this, he gave Wanderu a 1 out of 5 score rating.

After Wandering
In the end, I think Wanderu is just like Abhibus wherein travelers can find and compare transport tickets of their desired location to destination. The difference of this online transport companies is; Abhibus only caters Bus services and Wanderu serves with Bus and Train. However, Wanderu is not a BBB accredited company.

Kingfisher Airlines Reviews

Kingfisher Airlines had already stopped operations 3 years ago. However, one reviewer asked  me to write an article about the almost-perfect Indian air service. Let us all witness how it was to “Fly The Good Times” with Kingfisher Airlines and why it just shut down.

Beginning and Ending
Kingfisher Airlines traces its roots back in 2003 but commenced operations in 2005 with four Airbus A320s, owned by the capital of the Indian state Karnataka, Bengaluru. The head office of Kingfisher Airlines used to be in Kempegowda International Airport. They started international operation in 2008. However, on the 20th of October 2012, Kingfisher Airlines ceased operations because DGCA suspended their flying license. They were almost the first Indian carrier who’ll join the OneWorld alliance. But due to bad financial status, their membership with OneWorld was put on hold and this made the airline’s shutdown final.

Before Kingfisher Airlines ceased operations, they had almost over 5,700 employees, 69 aircrafts, serving 25 domestic destinations in 2012. They used to have a codeshare agreement with American Airlines, Asiana Airlines and Philippine Airlines. They were even nominated simultaneously since 2008 until 2012 as “Asia’s Leading Airline – Economy Class” and “India’s Leading Airline” by Skytrax’s World Travel Awards.

Kingfisher Services
Kingfisher Airlines had three cabin classes in their domestic flights: Kingfisher Red, Kingfisher Class and Kingfisher First. These are actually their own version of Economy, Business and First Class. However, with their international flights, they only had Kingfisher Class and First. Passengers are served with a variety of meal selection including famous Indian cuisines and international dishes.

Beverage options are not limited to. They kept their customers entertained by their Thales TopSeries i3000-i5000 IFE system, which made Kingfisher Airlines, the first Indian air service which had an IFE system as their inflight entertainment. In board magazines are also provided. They also had a frequent flyer program, King Club.

Kingfisher Airlines Reviews of Passengers
I am not surprised that Kingfisher Airlines had harnessed too much negative Kingfisher Airlines reviews from its consumers. I hardly found a positive or a recommendation posted about the Indian airline. So here, let me just go ahead and share one of the last review published:

“I’ve not received any refund of my 4 tickets which amount to over 13k. I tried to contact the customer care many times but no one is attending calls. I’m in extreme distress. Please if you are reading this and have faced a similar fate with kingfisher & want to fight them, please contact me.

I would suggest, if we have sufficient people we can collectively file a police complaint and share the cost of legal proceedings against Kingfisher.” He was not the only one who had similar concerns, others haven’t received refunds too over a year.

Conclusion
Based on Kingfisher Airlines reviews, the airline had evidently made a mark in the field of aviation even though they already shut down a few years ago. Some are still wondering what really happened. Why would a successful air service get into a financial crisis? In my conclusion, maybe it has something to do with the management of sales. This remained a history to everyone, but I am hoping Kingfisher Airlines can be reestablished.

Travelstart began in Sweden of 1999 by providing the simplest way of booking for domestic and international flights online. Their mission goes through till now with making travel easier for customers in terms of finding, comparing and booking. Travelstart is one of the largest African online travel agencies offering similar services with airfare, hotel reservations, car rentals and vacation packages. This also includes travelling for business, leisure or as a group. Since 2014, Travelstart expanded their network by operating in South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Turkey but branded as “Geziko”.

PROS

The white and sky blue theme color leaves a calm and relaxing mood to consumers.

If travelers are not used to booking online, then Travelstart will guide them all throughout the booking with their indication of step by step. If customers are still uncomfortable of what they are navigating, a live chat support is shown on the bottom left of the page for assistance.
Like other renowned travel site, Travelstart also has the newsletter service. Customers are in total control either to sign up for updates or not, this option is shown on the bottom right of the page next to contact number and email information of Travelstart.

Travelstart already extended their services via social media accounts, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and YouTube. But in case consumer is up to making business with Travelstart, scroll to the furthest down of the page to learn how to become an affiliate or a travel agent with Travelstart or click here to be directed on their “Become an Affiliate” page.

CONS
Given the simplicity of Travelstart, the Nigerian travel site had an overall score of 4 out 10 rating by Trustpilot.com. This result is rooted from a total of 5 Travelstart reviews of consumers and you wouldn’t love what they are saying. One almost wrote a long story just to express that Travelstart is an incompetent company. Others are complaining about unwanted and overcharges and not even cheap at all. Advice to Revise
To be honest I love how Travelstart looks like. However, they should try to learn in accommodating customers. At least showing a little courtesy to a customer’s concern will lessen the hate of their consumers. People never want to be neglected especially when they started complaining, a little acknowledgement will matter.

Lao Airlines Reviews

​The landlocked country in Southeast Asia and known for “Land of Million Elephants”. Their national flower is called “Dok Champa” wherein for Lao people it represents sincerity and joy. Let us all witness, how it is to fly with the national airline of Laos; Lao Airlines. Is it really sincere and a happy experience? Let’s find out!

History and Facts
Lao Airlines traces its roots when it was known first as the merge of the major airlines in 1979 between Lao Air Lines and Royal Air Lao. Initially, the air service was a mixed fleet of Western aircraft operating domestic and international routes. Given its growth through years, in 2003, alongside with the upgrade in fleet size the flag carrier of Laos was re-branded to “Lao Airlines”.

Now, Lao Airlines caters 20 destinations internationally with 11 aircrafts headquartered in the Wattay International Airport. The airline also has codeshare agreements with Thai Airways and Vietnam Airlines. However, based on Lao Airlines reviews and reports, the airline had recorded seven accidents and incidents. The most recent was in 2013, where all 49 on board died after attempting landing on a bad weather and crashed into the Mekong River.

However, even Lao Airlines have gone through tough times they were still simultaneously awarded for several years. They were honored with the ISO9001 award for “The Best Inflight Services” by the ceremony held by the President of Lao Airlines, Dr. Somphone Douangdara. They were even awarded in 2013 for “World’s Best Tourist Destination” by the European Council on Tourism and Trade (ECTT).

On Board and Website Services
Lao Airlines caters services with Economic and Business cabin classes. Wherein customers under Economy are allowed with baggage maximum allowance of 20kg, and in Business class, 30kg. For safety precautions, passengers are not allowed to bring radioactive, oxidizing and corrosive materials on board. After scanning through Lao Airlines reviews and with the help of AirlineMeals, we found out that the national airline serves complimentary meals and drinks inflight of some famous Lao cuisines or other international dishes depending on customer’s preference and cabin class.
The official website of Lao Airlines didn’t catch my attention, to be honest when I first saw the site, I thought it’s an endorsement for a laundry detergent. Another thing is, the layout is pretty outdated and there’s no option to select another language version of the site. Well, on a positive note the site lets travelers to book, manage and check flights either domestic or international. They can also get access to their frequent flyer, Champa Muang Lao. Just so you know, Lao Airlines doesn’t have a mobile application for their services.

Lao Airlines Reviews of Passengers
Before I read Lao Airlines reviews, one concern caught my attention. Travelers keep asking if it is safe to fly with Lao Airlines? Moving forward, even the airline had suffered criticism from others, they gathered an overall score of 8 out 10 according to Skytrax. One recent reviewer even titled his review as “Plane was quite new with comfortable seat”.

In his review, he said “First time flying with Lao Airlines, and very impressed. Staff was friendly both at check-in as the cabin crew. The plane was just half full. Very smooth boarding. The flight departed before schedule time and arrived 25 min in advance. The plane was quite new, comfortable seat with a lot of space for the legs.

We got served a little box with a sandwich, a piece of cake and an orange juice. Apart of that we got offered complimentary drinks. It’s true that the flight was pricy, but it’s normal considering that is the only airline covering the route, and only 4 times a week. I definitely recommend this airline.” He gave the Laos Airlines a perfect score of 10/10 on September 4, 2015

Travelfusion traces its root back in 2000 with founder and still current CEO, Moshe Rafiah. It is an online travel site based in London, United Kingdom and Shanghai, China, which helps travelers to search and compare airfares and hotel reservations. Travelfusion had envisioned their company to be a successful low budget global distribution system which is powered by 200+ airline and 250+ travel sites and hotel meta search engines.

However, in 2015, China’s Ctrip bought Travelfusion for $160 million. Just so you know the founder of Travelfusion is a 52-year old Israeli international lawyer, but qualified as a US Attorney for the New York State Bar and United Kingdom solicitor.

How Travelfusion works?
Travelfusion doesn’t differ much from other online travel agencies now-a-days. I think they didn’t maximize the big white space on the left hand of the page. Well, there are two options to search on Travelfusion, it’s either for Flight or Hotel. Regardless of which consumer will search. Travelers will notice the icon showing from home following search, results, details, summary and booking. These steps guide the consumer on what is the purpose of the process they are at the moment. Like how you fill up the forms online.
Well, to boost the travel site’s credibility, Travelfusion’s later part of the page states few reasons why we should use them instead of other online travel agencies. It is said there, that they have the world’s largest coverage, smart in ranking price list, train and luggage results also appear in searches and reservation booking for 24 hours.

This gives more doubt to the consumer, that if the site is good at hiding their crimes, then they’re better in fooling customers. However, for a heads up on an anonymous review from AboutUs.com, they mentioned that he found some consumer reviews regarding Travelfusion from emails and Facebook comments. I hope they don’t mix or confuse Travelfusion.com with Travel Fusion Restaurant (a restaurant which combines Thai, Japanese and Asian dishes).

SkyWest was established on the 26th of April 1972 when Dixie Airlines was bought by Ralph Atkin. They even celebrated the commencement of the airlines when they held a festive called “Penny-a-Pound” in July 7th of the same year, wherein rides had parachutists making aerobatic flight stunts. By then, Mr. Atkin was proud to tell the travelers that “We could say that we never cancelled a flight. We may have gotten there four hours late, but we got people to their destination.” In 1984, SkyWest Airlines started expanding its network in Western US making them the eleventh largest regional airline after acquiring Sun Air Lines.

Now, SkyWest Airlines’ main hubs depend on their airline partners’ headquarters. SkyWest doesn’t differ much from other airlines with three-cabin class aircraft designed to provide comfort to passengers on board. As noticeable, the wingtips of SkyWest are specially customized as part of their fuel-saving agenda in enhancing economic performance. To keep their customers entertained, SkyWest inflight magazine keeps you updated of the latest trends in fashion and sports and even in business too. Meals are served and varied depending on the class and route the customer have taken for their travelling.

As evidenced as shown below, the layout of the airline is designed with utmost simplicity. The theme colors gray and white don’t hurt the eyes of the travelers. However, unlike the other airline’s official website it was quite confusing that the option to book flights or manage bookings are not promptly shown on the first page. They don’t even have a mobile application of this type of web service.
SkyWest Airlines Reviews and Feedback
Based on numerous SkyWest Airlines reviews, the airline scored a total rating of 7/10 by Airlinequality.com. Wherein customers are really satisfied with their overall inflight experience. The noted the seats of SkyWest Airlines are the most comfortable they had ever encountered and flight attendants were polite.

The recent reviewer said “I was warmly greeted at the door by a very nice flight attendant. Service was excellent. The seating on the CRJ is 2-2 rather than 3-3 on the larger planes. The plane was very comfortable and quiet.” He gave SkyWest Airlines a 10/10 score.

In our previous review, we wrote about SkyWest that we stumble upon ExpressJet. The regional airline caught my attention. Join me as I learn and study, the largest regional airline in the world: ExpressJet. Let us witness the origin and services of this prestigious airline.

ExpressJet traces its root back in 1986 as Continental Express and was acquired by Continental Airlines (now United Airlines). The rebranding and incorporation held in 1996 changed it to ExpressJet Airlines, Inc. ExpressJet then became independent and was headquartered before in Continental Center I. Initially, ExpressJet aircrafts are the Twin Otter, Bandeirante, Dash 7 and Canadian regional jets (CRJ)
Now, ExpressJet main bases depends on their airline partners with American Eagle, Delta Connection and United Express. The largest regional airline in the world has a total fleet size of 400 catering over 200 destinations worldwide with SkyWest as their parent company. The official website of ExpressJet is not similar to other airline page because the main page mainly focuses on educating travelers about their company’s information and background. The option to navigate or switch page and/or section is shown on the top right, as Home, Passengers, Careers, Partners, Safety and etc.
Once customers are on the passengers’ page, the option to book, manage or check flights and other airline services and policies are located on the bottom right of the page. In which, once you click the link, it will redirect consumers to the page of the designated airline partners. However, ExpressJet wasn’t mobile-friendly to have a mobile application.

ExpressJet Reviews of Consumers
Based on ExpressJet Reviews on Glassdoor, the company helps their employees and never mistreated them even during trainings. Learning this from a credible site means ExpressJet can apply the same politeness and accommodation to their customers. Indeed, one reviewer said:

“I find a lot to like about ExpressJet: I like their “can do” attitude. I like their modern fleet of very comfortably appointed Embraer regional jets. I like their focus on DIRECT flights between non-major airports. I like their focus on on-time performance. I like that they can give me better airfares than Southwest WITHOUT having to sacrifice a simple snack in coach class or something as fundamental as an assigned seat (and of course, there’s no cattle-call of a chaotic boarding process, which you’re always guaranteed when you put up with Southwest).

In short, you can SAVE money on ExpressJet and STILL feel like a human being and not a lowly animal.”

Travante Reviews

Had anyone tried using Travante before? It was my first time to hear a hotel site with a general name. One reader of my articles asked me to write about Travante. So, here it is. At first, I am really agitated that the company is obviously designed and created thoroughly to fool people. Just in case you are reading this review now, then you’re lucky that you’re not fooled yet. The aim of writing travel related reviews is to help travelers to learn and know which companies online are legit and which are frauds. Feel free to be the judge about Travante.

PROS
Well, based on the site, Travante helps travelers to seek and compare for the best and cheapest hotel reservations and accommodations from over 200,000 hotels worldwide and other hotel booking site, such as Expedia, LastMinute and Hotels. It is said that they are established to assist customers in the hassle of entering all the details in each booking with travel agencies. They are created to seek the best rates and compare them to sort what’s best for their consumer.
In this review, I tried searching using “Boston, Massachusetts” as my destination and the results are detailed. Travante rates the hotel recommendation list of the cheapest. This result can be filtered by star rating, hotel features, guest reviews and suburbs. Show map option is also available for travelers to check if the chosen hotel is in the right area.

CONS
There’s not much Travante reviews shown online. However, even Scamadviser was doubtful about the online hotel site’s credibility. The name “Travante” is too general because this is a masculine name which makes the name bearer as “desiring to be free from detail and monotony, he finds it difficult to finish what you start if it does not hold your interest.” I wonder if this is where Travante hotel site’s name was originated. What’s the catch? They don’t even have a Chief Executive Officer or a representative. It is just the page travelers are dealing with. I personally won’t use a site like this.
Contact Information
It’s kind of odd that Travante doesn’t have a head office, phone number, fax number and contact email. The best way to reach them if customers will have a concern, complaint or suggestion is to send them an enquiry by filling up the form on the Contact Us section. This will be really bad if in case someone would like to complain about a charge or wants to cancel and have a refund. They’ll be left hanging on a thin line while waiting for a response without assurance if the recipient received the inquiry after all.

Advice to Revise
Like mentioned above, Travante reviews​ are nowhere to be found. I don’t know what Travante operators can say about this? What scares me is how people who already booked with them and needs refund or cancellation can reach them? It is like you bought a smartphone from a random store and if it’s defective, you won’t know where to complain or whom to blame. I hope consumers will search first for the credibility of the company before booking or entering credit/debit credentials, to avoid being scammed or fooled.

Skoosh Reviews

A self proclaim Corporate Hippy, Dorian Harris, established Skoosh in 2001 with the aim proving that there is a better way in doing business. In 2010, an alleged report was made scandalous that a major online travel agency are bullying Harris over hotel pricing. He gave up the fight against them by removing himself from the ongoing consultation process at that time, so that he can return to his business and life. Later on, in the middle of the review, let me share to you what really happened on that clash of two online travel agencies

Why Skoosh?
Skoosh is a user friendly hotel site headquartered in United Kingdom. Initially, it will ask customers with “Where would you like to go?” This is their strategic way to inspire travelers to think of a destination they want to go to. An inspirational place in mind, means an edge to start a hotel search to stay in. It is shown on the one page view locked site that it’s powered by TripAdvisor. However, I am not quite sure what is the relevance of the word “Skoosh” itself in travelling? Skoosh is a squirt or splash of a liquid.
Why NOT Skoosh?
Well, to know what really happened to the report. Here’s what rooted everything. Harris openly wrote a letter to CEO Kees Koolen of Booking.com saying:

“Earlier this year we started getting some calls from angry and confused hoteliers insisting that we were selling their rooms too cheaply. I called them back to work out what was going on and they mostly told me that Booking.com had been on to them threatening all sorts of nonsense if they didn’t either remove their hotels from Skoosh or force Skoosh to raise its prices.”

What triggered the conflict between them was even Koolen gave a non-response to the first letter, Harris sent a second one:

“I’m not judge and jury here. I’m concerned for my business, my industry and e-commerce as a whole. If rate parity is allowed to take hold, I see a time where there is absolutely no discounting online at all. It doesn’t matter where anyone goes to shop for a product, the price will be the same. As I’ve said elsewhere, that all sounds very Cold War to me.”

Overall Thoughts
So, would you go for a hotel site who has a war freak as a leader and doesn’t know limitation or when to keep his mouth shut? He did but not until everything was far from what should have been resolved 5 years ago. It seems like he still can’t get over with what happened. If he’s acting this way with his competitors then I wonder how he handles complaints or negative Skoosh reviews?

Peach Aviation Reviews
The joint venture between All Nippon Airways (ANA) and First Eastern Investment Group produced “A&F Aviation” in February 2011. Wherein they applied for an operating certificate in April and renamed to “Peach Aviation” in May of the same year. As pleasing as the livery and the uniform was designed they were made by Neil Denari (livery) and James Wilkie (uniform). Peach used to be headquartered in Aeroplaza but now moved to Kensetsu-to. The first inaugural flight took place on the 1st of March 2012 from Kansai to Sapporo. Just so you know, Peach has been one the successful low-cost airline startup within a year.

Now, Peach has a total fleet size of 17 Airbus A320-200 serving 16 destinations within Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. They intend to extend their network in Guam and Saipan; as their CEO, Mr. Shinichi Inoue had planned this since 2011.

However, in 2014, due to pilot shortage, Peach Aviation cancelled almost 2,000 flights. Since the target of 62 pilots by October, they only have 52 pilots as of April 2014 and eight were even sick and incapable of flying.

Peach Aviation Reviews and InFlight Services
The Japanese low-cost carrier is pretty generous with their advertisement. There are a lot of pictures of endorsement and promotions shown online about Peach Aviation. It exhibits the services on board like the hospitality and how flight attendants accommodate the passengers. Meals are prepared carefully that travelers can get a view of the flight menu from their official website.

However, Peach Aviation reviews are not matching with the advertisement’s pretty picture of the airlines. Reviewers are saying that Peach has the most terrible customer service and they won’t definitely recommend the airline, One reviewer was mad when Peach cancelled her son’s flight without prior notice and never refunded the airfare. She had difficulties because she can’t reach any decent customer representative plus the fact there’s no contact email to reach to.

What really caught my attention was one reviewer actually made a blog online about her experience with Peach Aviation. Her review actually reached over 890 words just to share and narrate her story and frustration over the low-cost carrier. To see the blog, click here.

The Official Website
I am not quite sure how to rate or describe the official site of Peach Aviation. Because I am still wondering why the theme color of the airline is pink, wherein the livery is Peach? Maybe because Peach looks like a contrast of Pink. Well, moving forward, the page of Peach is pretty much outdated compared to other low-budget carrier. Some text on the page are too small that I can’t even read without zooming. On a positive note, every icon on the site is working and customers can book, manage and check their flights using the site alone.

One friend just saw Hotelhunter through Facebook and can’t find any brief history of the company. Now, she is kind of wondering if it is safe to search and book hotel reservations with Hotelhunter. In this review, we will tackle about the limited information shown about Hotelhunter. You heard me right, there’s not much information about Hotelhunter. Feel free to be the judge afterwards.

Who is Hotelhunter?
When I first try to look for Hotelhunter, what’s shown is only the page itself. Not even LinkedIn, Crunchbase or Tripadvisor have a “Hotelhunter” registered on them. Is it safe? I don’t think so. Like with my previous articles with hotel sites without at least a chief executive officer, founder or description, then let alone itself this means catastrophic results. Do not trust a company who just gives you a physically admiring features without supporting details. Credibility is the number one question in this article. The owl caught my attention, because it puzzled me how is it even related to hotels? or traveling? Maybe it denotes that the owl is watching over consumers who will go through this site. Next to the owl are options to download the mobile application of Hotelhunter. Looks like we are going somewhere here.

I checked Hotelhunter reviews from the App store and Google Play Store and it seems like it is just bunch of complaints and doubtful comments shown. Some say that the mobile application doesn’t load, others say it will crash while in the middle of browsing. They find the mobile version of Hotelhunter unreliable and not even saving them from the fact they are not using a PC for online services.

Why NOT Hotelhunter?
The site itself was designed to fool consumers into searching and getting indulged with their offers and booking. This is one of the fraudulent way of scammers to steal money. We should look closely into details. I suggest before booking make sure to search first for customer reviews regarding the company’s credibility. Like the adage says “Give them the benefit of the doubt.”

I tried using their search engine and I felt unsafe proceeding to booking for the results themselves look suspiciously low. It shows that I’ll save $200 if i’ll book now? I noticed this too:

“Save Time and Money! Get up to 80% discounts on hotels. Choose from over 800,000 hotels in 120,000 destinations across 225 countries. Filter search results according to your preferences.”

80%? Really? How can that be possible?

After trying to look for Hotelhunter reviews, I am really disappointed that this hotel site was beautifully designed to lure traveler to book and trust them. Let me remind anyone who’ll be reading this review to stay away from Hotelhunter. My friend once gave me a useful advise一he said “If it’s too good to be true, then it’s not true.”

Air Madagascar was founded in March 1947 by a private French airline, Transports Aériens Intercontinentaux with the aim to cater flights by TAI and Air France. To reorganize the airline, in 1961 the name was changed to Madair and became the national airline of the independent republic of Madagascar. It is his leadership when both companies increased revenue by 215% after almost 5 years of annual revenue declines. They already have booked 939, 106 reservations at over 500 hotels now in 100 airports within the United States and Canada.

Why ParkSleepFly?
Personally, I love how the colorful ParkSleepFly was designed plus the ambiance of the background image gives customers a welcoming mood. They promptly show their main discount promo stated as “Get FREE airport parking when you stay one night at a hotel.” and it’s shown in the center of the page, next to the option to search and compare from hotel and parking packages. If consumers want to change the searching options, they just have to click the “more” icon at the top center and select the preferred category.
ParkSleepFly also entices travelers to more destinations within the United States and Canada, they list the Top Cities travelled by tourist indicating their package price offer on top of the city image.

Another way to get in touch with them, is through their social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+

Why NOT ParkSleepFly?
However, even ParkSleepFly have an amazing leader to keep them on track. The ParkSleepFly reviews of customers haven’t been showing any coordination to said company’s continuous success lately. Most of the consumers are surprised that they are overcharged, especially with the fact that ParkSleepFly are showing prices, which are not similar when at payment process and others are disappointed with their experiences of the services of ParkSleepFly.

Here’s one review when she said “I reserved a room with ParkSleepFly. I received an email confirmation that everything was in order. On my way to the airport I called the hotel to let them know we would be late in checking in, at that time the hotel told me they did not have a room for me and that my reservation had never been confirmed.

I ended up spending the night in the airport garage in my car with my husband and two little kids. ParkSleepFly also charges almost $30 for their service which is incredibly high priced considering other sites fees. I will never use ParkSleepFly again and I would never recommend anyone else use it either.”

According to several ParkSleepFly reviews​, the travel site is pretty much making a good impression, but alongside with that are the negative reviews. BWI Customer Reviews
Not as prestigious as Baltimore–Washington International Airport sounds, the airport had been rated by Skytrax’s with a 3 star rating over 10. This below average score shows that the airport has been putting up a bad reputation lately with its customers. They even consider BWI with the worst service ever. One of the most recent reviewer said she spent a lot money, but the services are awful, because there are no power at the workstations and internet has security issues.

Another reviewer said “I like that we have security but damn it’s slow here. With how many people that must come through this airport and all the fees they charge each person you’d think they could have enough staff to make the lines move faster or be shorter or better yet, both. 30 minutes and still moving like cattle.”

The official site of BWI has been really generous and helpful in providing information on how to reach the airport. They use Google, MapQuest, Yahoo! And Live Search to assist customers with directions how to get to the airport from specific locations or cities within Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, West Virginia and Virginia. If the traveler uses GPS, they can get specific location from their units by using “BWI Airport, MD 21240”

BWI is easily found because it is surrounded by highways I-695, 295, 100, I-97 and I-195 and found in between Baltimore and Washington which pretty much explains why it was called Baltimore-Washington. The airport serves both metropolitan areas. In 2014, from BWI’s report, the total commercial passenger count was 22.31 million on international and domestic flights from 3 runways. BWI has 16 international and 67 domestic, nonstop destinations.

Past: Origin of BWI began before the end of World War II in 1944 from an idea of a new airport on 3,200 acres that will serve the Baltimore-Washington. As an honor to the late Supreme Court Judge, Thurgood Marshall.

Present: Recently, on the 17th of November 2015, a report rose that four passengers of Flight 969 of Spirit Airlines at BWI were removed from the flight to Chicago due to a reported suspicious and unusual behavior.
