“We’re not just an airline. We’re a way of life.”
This has always been the company slogan of Envoy Air. Today, let’s discover this airline from Fort Worth, Texas, United States.
The wholly-owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group traces it roots back to 1984; Envoy Air began as a collection of regional carriers with contracts to carry the American Eagle brand name. Until 1987, these third-party carriers flew under contract with American Airlines to provide regional feeds to its hubs. In 2014, the company changed its name to Envoy Air Inc., but American Eagle continues to live on as a brand, and so does its livery for Envoy-operated and third party-operated regional flights.
The airline uses a similar loyalty program: AAdvantage (from American Airlines). Envoy Air has a fleet size of 169 Embraer and Bombardier which cater air services to 170 domestic and international routes. With over 1,800 flights a day, serving 159 cities across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean, Envoy is considered to be the world’s largest regional airline system. Envoy is an affiliate member of the Oneworld airline alliance.
Official Website and Services
One thing I noticed and was amazed about Envoy Air was their official site. The background is actually moving and promotes the airline’s services, crew, and fleet. As shown on their official site, it’s pretty much not like your typical airline webpage. It doesn’t promptly give customers the option to search and book a flight with them, because this option is done directly on American Airlines.
Their official site mainly gives information about aviation employment career opportunities. Categories are divided to Pilots, Flight Attendants, Mechanics, Customer Service or Corporate queries. The goal they have for their employees is to take passengers from where they are now to where they want to go – whether it’s a short-term stay or a lifelong career. Unfortunately, since Envoy Air is not the direct company airline, they don’t have a mobile app.
Envoy Air Reviews of Passengers
It actually wasn’t easy to find Envoy Air reviews online. Though, we were able to find some on Indeed and Glassdoor. Both commenting sites gave the airline an overall ⅗ star rating. One former station agent posted on the 26th of September 2016 saying, “While working for Envoy, my fellow coworkers were wonderful to work with. No one bothered us as long as we did our job and did it efficiently. The hardest part of the job was the communication between management and staff.”

Conclusion
Opportunities are given out to those who deserve them. Envoy Air is definitely one of the aviation companies you should look forward to work with, but on inflight terms we are not sure about that. However, knowing they are under American Airlines, it’s safe to assume the airline’s quality is similar to its parent company. In fact, if you recall, last year we gave American Airlines a 5-star rating and Skytrax had ranked the airline up to the 77th spot this year from the World’s Top 100 Airlines!
